As our theme verse for the year states, God is “able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us” (Ephesians 3:20). The key to manifesting this power for abundant living is the renewed mind—putting on God’s Word in our minds and then living it.

In “Putting on the Mind of Christ: We Are As He Is,” Harve Platig teaches how we can walk as overcomers with the power that is legally ours as sons of God. Rev. David Chavoustie enlightens our understanding, showing how we can shine as lights in this world and boldly speak God’s Word to others by faithfully “Walking as Children of Light.”

In “Rejoicing in the Hope: Our Legal Rights,” Kim Naviello teaches about the stability and strength our Hope provides and the victory that is legally ours to claim because of the accomplishments of Jesus Christ. Dean Etchison shares about the sweet fellowship and peace that are ours to enjoy as a part of God’s team by “Keeping the Spiritual Unity.” Expounding from the Book of Exodus, Marian Abbate shows that no matter what challenges we face, “God Is Able and Willing to Deliver.”

Deepen your understanding of the Biblical truths taught in these feature articles with “God Promises Us…” on page 11. For each promise highlighted, try looking up one or two other records in the Word that demonstrate a believer or group of believers claiming that same promise. The Prevailing Word Report provides a detailed look at the in-residence Way Corps training program at Headquarters and at the latest happenings at Camp Gunnison. In Manners and Customs of the Bible, Bernita Jess illustrates “The House on the Rock” of Luke 6 and shows the importance of building our lives on the rock-solid foundation of God’s Word.
