Every day we can experience the joy of seeing God’s Word come to pass in our lives as we believe and take action on it. In this issue we’ll see how God has set us up for success by giving His faithful Word with promises for us to claim with believing and be overcomers in the world.

Lou Guigou teaches that “Running Our Course with the Hope of Christ’s Return” gives us comfort and provides us with encouragement to serve our heavenly Father with our whole heart, soul, mind, and strength, no matter the conditions or circumstances. Keying from Colossians 4:6, Jane Moore suggests practical ways to prepare ourselves to be “Ready to Speak Words of God’s Grace” as ambassadors for the Lord Jesus Christ.

In “He Is Faithful That Promised,” Martha Etchison shows from the Scriptures how God’s fulfillment of His promise to send the Messiah to redeem mankind can encourage us to be steadfast in believing that God will fulfill His promises to us. I Corinthians 13: The Love of God unfolds four characteristics of the love of God that Jesus Christ lived. What an inspiration his example is to us to manifest God’s love in this world as we bear, believe, hope, and endure all things according to God’s Word.

In Witnesses in Our Occupations, Ted Phillips shares that “Music: Writing, Performing, and Teaching” are powerful tools we can use to glorify God and bring edification, encouragement, blessing, and comfort to people. Manners and Customs of the Bible gives us a clear understanding of the expression “A Little Leaven Leaveneth the Whole Lump.” Knowing how leaven works helps us understand Biblical illustrations where comparisons are made to leaven.

The Prevailing Word Report shows, in words and pictures, the resounding impact of Advanced Class Special 2017, held April 14–16 at The Way International Headquarters for participants from around the world. Another report gives highlights of the in-residence Way Corps training, where the students are seeing the importance of extending kindness, care, and service to others, and developing a mind-set and lifestyle of being given to hospitality.

After you read each article in this issue, reflect on (1) what you learned, (2) why this is important to you, and (3) how you can apply it or do things differently in your life. Experience the joy of seeing God’s promises come to pass in your life as you believe and take action on His Word!
