As born-again believers, we are what the Word of God says we are—sons of God (I John 3:1)! May this issue inspire us to confess and to claim what the Word says, especially concerning the benefits and blessings that are ours as legal heirs of God.

In “Jesus Christ, Resolved to Do God’s Will,” Rev. Jack Diers focuses our attention on our savior’s prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane. Learning more about his time of prayer at a very crucial time in his ministry can build our appreciation of the love, discipline, and obedience he manifested to accomplish our complete redemption. Kim Thomas takes us to the Scriptures to see that “Speaking God’s Word Is Profitable” when we speak it in love, no matter the response we may see.

In “The Abundant Benefits and Rewards of Serving God,” Tracy Prewett shares how we can enjoy abundance in our lives now by lovingly laboring for God, by claiming and utilizing His benefits, and by joyfully anticipating a full reward at the return of Christ. In “The Virtuous Woman: A Study of Proverbs 31:10-31,” Elaina Isfalt identifies the wonderful qualities and characteristics of the virtuous woman in Proverbs, whose “price is far above rubies.”

The yearly theme scripture spread can help us gain a greater understanding of what it means to walk worthy of our calling as sons of God in the Grace Administration. In the series With God All Things Are Possible, Gary Martin shows from the account of “The Exodus from Egypt” that we don’t need to expend our energy on how God can bring about our deliverance. We can simply trust that He is willing and able to deliver us from even seemingly impossible situations.

The Prevailing Word Report keeps us posted on the dynamic impact of the Way Disciples of Outreach Group XXVI and the Prevailing Ambassadors of Venezuela.

Our gracious God has imparted so much to us. Now it is up to us to confess that we have what the Word of God says we have and we can be what the Word of God says we can be. We can claim His abundance and power in our lives and glorify Him.
